Mad Jenny to Present WEIMAR GIRLS! 1/4/2017

Mad Jenny, called "smart and theatrically savvy" by The NY Times presents Weimar Girls at The Slipper Room, Wednesday January 4th at 8pm. After the success of the run of her show Love Und Greed in 2016, Mad Jenny expands her show to include special guests of the alt cabaret and burlesque scene including contortionist and arialist Miss Ekaterina of Cirque du Soleil fame, Pandora, the sexy, statuesque star of Dances Of Vice and Shanghai Mermaid, Dance Troupe Desert Sin of House of Yes and featuring alt cabaret star and Broadway World Best Alt Cabaret nominated Kim David Smith.

This female Weimar cabaret is a female resistance to misogyny and anti-LGBT sentiment! At this performance the audience will have the opportunity to donate to Planned Parenthood and LGBT Bar Association which offers free legal services for the LGBT community. The performance features political songs and music from Berlin in the 1920s as well as some 80s pop songs arranged by Maria Dessena for The Society Band which features Ric Becker on Trombone, Marty Isenberg on Bass, Matthew Talmage on drums, Mad Jenny on vocals and clarinet and Ms. Dessena on Piano and accordion.
