Singer, Actress and Film star Linda Purl will be performing two shows at The Metropolitan Room tonight and tomorrow, March 12 and 13.

Best known for her role as Charlene Matlock on Matlock, Purl has starred in over 40 made-for-television movies and had countless roles on TV on shows such as Reckless, True Blood and Homeland.

Purl has not only triumphed over the silver screen but she has had huge Broadway success with The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Getting and Spending and countless Off-Broadway shows.

Purl was born in Connecticut but grew up in Japan and became the only foreigner to have trained at the Toho Geino Academy. She also came to be the Founder of the California International Theatre Festival and served as its Founding Festival Director.

The Metropolitan Room in the New Year broke the Guinness World Record for the Longest Variety Show which consisted of a stampede of NY's top talent for a total of 60 hours of non-stop entertainment.
