This Valentine's Day two couples will say yes we do and tie the knot, legally, on a stage. Glitter will flow, dogs will be ring bearers and childhood dreams of the perfect wedding will come true-except for the fact that neither of these couples has ever dated. Or had sex. Actually, we're all gay. That said, La MaMa-loped is not a piece about gay marriage in particular, but about marriage as something defined by a relationship with the law, not by the relationship between two people.

JESSE CAMERON ALICK (Groom) is a poet, playwright and Zen Master. Jesse is Artistic Director for Subjective Theatre Company (www.subjectivetheatre.org), the Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director at The Public Theater (www.publictheater.org) and is Assistant to the playwright Suzan-Lori Parks. Jesse is also the east coast editor of High Contrast Review (www.highcontrastreview.com), freelance journalist and essayist. Jesse studied writing with playwright Adrienne Kennedy and teaches a theater course at Lewis and Clark College.

LUCILE BAKER SCOTT (Bride) is a New York City based playwright and director and an executive member of Mighty Little Productions, a small collaboration based theater company. Her work has been featured around town at venues including The Cherry Lane Studio, BAX, Theater for The New City, WOW Cafe Theater, 59E59, Manhattan Theater Source, The Red Room and The Kraine and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Some of the productions have even won awards in festivals. She is a also a journalist and has traveled to destinations including Jamaica and India to report on the global AIDS epidemic. She hails from Kentucky and moved to New York after graduating from Northwestern University.
SCOUT DURWOOD AKA Lady Scoutington (Bride) is an NYC based actor and comedienne, as well as a founding member of the award winning theatre company, Mighty Little Productions. Her newest solo piece, Hi, How Can I Help You?, an original one-woman musical, debuted in August 2010 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was developed thanks to a grant from Brooklyn Arts Exchange. It is appearing at the Kraine Theater this February as part of the Frigid Festival. Her work has been featured on The Howard Stern Show, CBS Radio, The Miss America Pageant, Comix Comedy Club, Joe's Pub and just about every venue in New York City with a stage and a mic. A Kansas City native, she came to New York City via Amherst College where she received cum laude honors for her first solo show, Adym and Stevie, earning her degree in Political and Social Activism Through Theatre.
