Tony, Emmy and SAG Award-winner LaChanze returns to the famed Highline Ballroom in a not-to-be-missed concert in a one woman musical journey about her life.

The one-night-only concert, set for Monday, January 15, 2018 at 8 p.m., coincides with the 2018 APAP conference - an annual rite which, every January, brings musicians from around the world to New York.

Earlier this year, LaChanze kicked off her national one woman musical tour at the Highline Ballroom with a sold out, standing room performance. Feeling Good debuted in 2014 at Joe's Pub and had its official world premiere at the Kennedy Center in 2015.

The acclaimed chanteuse boasts a career that has consistently garnered critical praise. She is known amongst her peers as a volcanic and spontaneous force of nature with an enduring ability to leave audiences breathless. The Los Angeles Times proclaims that she "brings down the house," The Hollywood Reporter calls her work "powerful and confident" while the New York Times hailed her as "magnetic." LaChanze will use her one-of-a-kind musical talent and unrivaled mezzo soprano voice to perform original pieces, highlights from her career and her renditions of classics tunes.

Currently, LaChanze is starring as Diva Donna in "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" which critics have described as "eye popping" and "a great evening of pop music." Summer is currently playing at La Jolla Playhouse, which runs through December 24, 2017.

The sought-after actress and singer won the 2006 Tony Award for "Best Actress in a Musical" in the original cast of The Color Purple. She was featured in the PBS Great Performances of Handel's Messiah Rocks! With the Boston Pop Orchestra, a performance for which she won an Emmy Award. Her supporting role in the Dreamworks movie adaptation of THE HELP landed her a SAG Award for Best Performance by an Ensemble. She is highly recognized for her footprint on Broadway including "If/Then," "Once on This Island" (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), "Ragtime," "Company," and "Uptown It's Hot." She starred Off-Broadway in "Dessa Rose" (Obie Award and Drama Desk Award nomination), "The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin" (Drama Desk nomination) and "Inked Baby," "The Wiz," "Baby," "From the Mississippi Delta" and "Spunk." Film credits include "Side Effects," "Breaking Upwards," "Confessions of a Shopaholic," "Disney's Hercules," "For Love or Money" and "Leap of Faith." Television credits include "Person of Interest," "Lucy" (CBS TV movie), "Law & Order: SVU," "Sex and the City," "New York Undercover" and "The Cosby Show." She's also been a featured performer on Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series.
