Kyle Scatliffe Joins the Cast of DUETS - LGBTQ+ Edition

Kyle Scatliffe (The Color Purple, Les Miserables) joins the cast of DUETS with thewriteteachers.com: LGBTQ+ Edition, at Birdland Jazz on August 8th.

DUETS with thewriteteachers.com: LGBTQ+ Edition is proudly presented by the Broadway at Birdland concert series. This one-night-only event will benefit the One Orlando Fund.

The evening will pair Broadway hopefuls with the Broadway professionals that have inspired them to join and/or stay in the crazy life of show business. The show will consist of songs from across the musical theatre canon that speak to the LBGTQ+ experience. Think Bare. Think RENT. Think Falsettos. Think of some gender swapped famous duets, too!

A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the One Orlando Fund. In such times of tragedy and heartbreak, we must stand together. We must support one another. We must love one another.

As Lin-Manuel Miranda says, "love is love is love is love."

Mr. Scatliffe will join a cast that features Loni Ackerman (Cats, Evita), Maddie Shea Baldwin (Bright Star), Christopher Hlinka (Mamma Mia Nat'l Tour), Ariana Sepúlveda, Preston Truman Boyd (She Loves Me, On The Twentieth Century, Bullets Over Broadway, Big Fish), Andrew Kober (She Loves Me, Les Miserables, HAIR), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Angelo McDonough, Molly Model, Peter Romagna, T.J. Newton, Stephanie Turci, and Adrienne Warren (Shuffle Along, Bring it On: the Musical), with additional performers to be announced!

The evening is directed and produced by Megan Minutillo, in association with thewriteteachers.com. Music direction by Nat Zegree.

DUETS with thewriteteachers.com plays Birdland Jazz on Monday, August 8 at 7pm
