Very Intense Productions presents B.T. Ryback: Songs I Wrote.  On the heels of his Los Angeles concert debut, LA Ovation Award-nominated composer and actor Brett Ryback plays highlights from his wildly eclectic songbook with a cast of Broadway's young and up-coming.  Brendan Naylor directs.  Wednesday, May 11th at 7 pm.  $10 cover, two drink minimum.  Tickets and info at www.theduplex.com

Cast includes Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family), Jeff Hiller (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) Michael Lowney (La Cage Aux Folles) Krista Pioppi (Spring Awakening), Catherine Blades (Bye Bye Birdie) Charles A. Franklin (SCKBSTD) and Nadine Malouf; Ryback leads the band.

B.T. (Brett) Ryback wrote the book to Darling (PACE New Musicals) and the music to Liberty Inn:The Musical, which earned two LA Ovation Award Nominations for Best Music/Lyrics and Best Book.  His other works include: Weird (Winner, Tennessee Williams One-Act Competition); A Roz by Any Other Name (Winner, Henrico County Theatre, Virginia, One-Act Competition); and The Tavern Keeper's Daughter.  He is a primary contributor to Crazytown Blog, he has written songs for the webseries The Battery's Down, andhe is the usic director and arranger for Lesli Margerita's acclaimed nightclub act All Hail the Queen. Ryback is also known for his work as an actor in Los Angeles.  Recent credits include: The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The History Boys, Little Shop of Horrors, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (La Mirada, Ovation Award Nomination); Dr. Cerberus (World Premiere, South Coast Rep);"How I Met Your Mother" and "House".
