Kiyomi Hawley Celebrates The Release Of MEET YOU THERE At The Bitter End
With otherworldly vocals and poetic lyrics, Kiyomi Hawley has returned to music after a 7-year hiatus with the release of her new album, Meet You There. This album will be celebrated with an intimate release show at The Bitter End on October 15th.
Kiyomi Hawley was raised in a musical family and knew from an early age that she wanted to be a singer. Through the platform MySpace, Kiyomi was able to release her talents to the public leading to the release of her 2011 album, Child In Me. Kiyomi stepped away from music, instead spending time perfecting her craft.
As a songwriter, and active member of Tina Shafer's New York Songwriters Circle, Kiyomi pulls from her personal experiences. Her new album, Meet You There, is a testament to how Kiyomi is able to express her inner thoughts and emotions through writing. The album title, as well as title track, stems from her experience of being raised within a cult where the feeling of being confined and restricted caused her to close herself off. She focuses her music on relating and comforting her audience, not shying away from raw lyrics that deal with issues such as school shootings, following your passions, staying true to yourself and finding your place in this world no matter what.
The release of this album is a step for Kiyomi Hawley to re-establish her voice within music. The show will be an cherished and ethereal experience, so don't miss out for Kiyomi Hawley's Album Release Show on Monday October 15th @7pm!
