Kevin Wood Comes To Arthur Newman Theater

Chicago cabaret singer Kevin Wood will bring his new show, "Taking A Chance" to the Arthur Newman Theater on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2 PM. The show features songs that point a comical and even poignant light at life, relationships, careers, health, aging, retirement, and more. Joining Kevin will be local pianist, Joel Baker. The Arthur Newman Theater is located at the Joslyn Center at 73750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. The show is part of the 10th season of Cabaret On Sundays Series presented by Les Michaels. Tickets for the show are $15 cash only at the box office that opens at 1 PM.

Kevin Wood is a Chicago based cabaret performer with a background in musical theater. He previously appeared here in 2015 and returns with a new show entitled "Taking A Chance" that features a variety of music including standards from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and some funny and original parody's. With Kevin's knack for storytelling, he'll interweave heart-warming stories, both real and fictional, that are both poignant and comedic, covering topics such as relationships, work, family, health, aging, and retirement. His previous shows have received standing ovations at Davenport's in Chicago, the Skokie Theatre in Skokie, and the Empire Stage in Ft. Lauderdale. Joining Kevin for "Taking A Chance" will be local pianist, Joel Baker on the baby grand.
