Jibson, Yazbeck And More Perform At Metropolitain Room 1/18

Carly Jibson (Cry Baby, Hairspray), Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy, On the Town, A Chorus Line) Sally Wilfert (Assassins, Make Me a Song), and Jonathan Rayson (Little Shop of Horrors, I Love You, You're Perfect...) will perform highlights from the songbook of the composing team David Dabbon and Tom Bruett at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room Sunday January 18th.

The 9:30 pm concert, directed by David Alpert (Guys and Dolls), also features performances by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida), Celina Carvajal (Cats, Tarzan, "MTV's Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods"), Kate Chapman (Mary Poppins, Les Miserables), Russell Fischer (Jersey Boys), Benjamin Magnuson (Sweeny Todd, Guys & Dolls) Carla Stickler-Magnuson (Mamma Mia), Tory Ross (9 to 5, Cry Baby) and Marty Thomas (Xanadu, "Mostly Sondheim"). Meghan Hales, Michael Lowney, James Moreira, Jr. and Jill Rensing also perform. Dabbon music directs and leads the band.

David Dabbon and Tom Bruett are an up-and-coming musical theatre writing team. Their musical, American Family, was part of Small Pond Productions Producer's Sprint. Their songs have been performed throughout New York City and nationwide. The concert will feature new material and songs from their upcoming musical Just Listed about three friends finding an apartment in New York City. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street. The concert is Sunday January 18th at 9:30 PM. Admission is a $10 cover plus two-drink minimum.
