Jeffrey Johnson will bring his Little Edie to Joe's Pub on December 29th. His revival of his 1978 performance of "Edith Beale Live at Reno Sweeney" will perform in AFTER THE GARDEN. Written by Gerald Duval, Edie Beale's manager for the Reno Sweeney event, After the Garden brings back to life those 7 nights in 1978 that only a handful of people had the opportunity to see.

Little Edie Beale, of Grey Gardens fame , performed a cabaret act at Reno Sweeney in New York City over the New Years week of 1978. Gerald Duval, producer of Little Edie Beale during the time of her appearance at Reno Sweeney has re-created the essence of those magical nights using dialogue, songs, and text from the historic event in addition to conversations that took place following the 1978 appearance creating an intimate evening of theatre. Enjoy, experience, and witness the continued story of what happened "After the Garden".

Granymede Arts will present the production, starting with After the Garden Edith Beale Live at Reno Sweeney by Gerald Duval, with Jeffrey Johnson as Little Edie Beale. The production is directed by Rick Hammerly and Jeffrey Johnson.

The performance will take place December 29th at 7:30pm. Tickets for the event are $20 and may be purchased online at Joe's Pub's website.

Ganymede Arts mission is to provide high-quality, professional theatre and art (dance and musical performances, poetry readings and art shows) that fosters social and cultural awareness of and for the glbt community.
