The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announced today that Brian d'Arcy James will not perform on November 10, 2014 as part of the stellar line-up of the 2014-15 Trust Cabaret Series.

Brian d'Arcy James has secured a feature role in the cast of "Spotlight," a new movie from director Tom McCarthy. Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Liev Schreiber and Rachel McAdams star in the film written by Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer.

"Finding a replacement for Brian is difficult, of course, and we are thrilled to announce that Jarrod Spector, Tony Award nominee for his current portrayal of Barry Mann in BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King musical, has agreed to join us!" shared Paul Organisak, Vice President of Programming for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

Jarrod Spector, who will perform on November 10th as part of the Trust Cabaret Series season also has an impressive list of stage and screen credits. In addition to his current role in BEAUTIFUL, Spector has created two solo concert shows which he has been touring in between his iconic roles on Broadway. Previously, he portrayed Frankie Valli in the Tony Award winning Best Musical, JERSEY BOYS, for over 1500 performances. His latest solo concert "A Little Help from My Friends" has sold out New York's premier nightclub, 54 Below, 12 times this year and has gone on to sell out concert halls throughout the US. He was also a contestant on the original Star Search as a child and made his Broadway debut at the age of 9 in the original Broadway production of LES MISERABLES.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has overseen one of Pittsburgh's most historic transformations: turning a seedy red-light district into a magnet destination for arts lovers, residents, visitors, and business owners. Founded in 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is a non-profit arts organization whose mission is the cultural and economic revitalization of a 14-block arts and entertainment/residential neighborhood called the Cultural District. The District is one of the country's largest land masses "curated" by a single nonprofit arts organization. A major catalytic force in the city, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is a unique model of how public-private partnerships can reinvent a city with authenticity, innovation and creativity. Using the arts as an economic catalyst, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has holistically created a world-renowned Cultural District that is revitalizing the city, improving the regional economy and enhancing Pittsburgh's quality of life. Thanks to the support of foundations, corporations, government agencies and thousands of private citizens, the Trust stands as a national model of urban redevelopment through the arts.
