Gatlin, McDaniel, Sachon & More Set To Celebrate The Oscars At Birdland

Celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy presents a special evening of her Multi-MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie de Roy & Friends on Sunday, February 28th at 6pm at the famed New York music room Birdland (315 West 44th Street) with an evening of songs from Academy Award®-winning Films.

Joining Jamie onstage will be: Grammy-winning singer Larry Gatlin, pianist/musical director John McDaniel, Terri White (Finian's Rainbow), cellist Peter Sachon, Drama Desk Winner and four-time Tony-nominee Gregg Edelman (1776, Into the Woods, Anna Karenina, City of Angels), London's beloved triple-threat performer Bonnie Langford (Chicago-NYC and London companies), and Drama Desk Award-nominee Christina Bianco (Newsical, Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab). Award-winning director Barry Kleinbort will direct and Lanny Meyers will serve as musical director. (Program subject to change.)

The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 16 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater, and comedy worlds.
