Grimm Women by Brandon Monokian will be presented at the West End Cabaret Theatre tonight, May 23rd at 9:30pm and tomorrow, May 24th at 8:00pm. The show will be directed by Megan Greener, and will star Daria Feneis ("Concussion"), Ashley Biel (The Orange Person), Andrew Pace, Caitlin Gutches, and Hannah J. Rolfes.

A modern, gritty riff on the Brother's Grimm fairy tales, Grimm Women examines the classic tales and their characters, while exploring what happens after "happily ever after." These fairy-tales-gone-wild feature a pot smoking Little Red, a Rapunzel with the longest weave in the land, and a boy kissing frogs trying to find a prince. Featuring reality television star Briella Calafiore ("Jerseylicious", "Glam Fairy"), Grimm Women debuted December 2012 at the Kraine Theatre in NYC, followed by an April/ May 2013 run at the Adrienne Theater in Philadelphia, and a February 2014 run at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre.

Grimm Women writer Monokian's greek myth adaptation, echo, narcissus, narcissus, echo, recently had its debut reading, which was produced by Your Name Here: A Queer Theatre Company, and starred Christian Coulson ("Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"). His play, Peter Pan is Dead, will debut in NYC at the Cabrini Theater this June.

The West End Cabaret Theatre is located at 955 West End Ave at 107th and Broadway. There is a $15 food and drink minimum with a $5 cover for students and artists and a $15 cover for adults. All guests must be 21 and over.
