WIDESCREEN is for anyone who has ever stumbled into a darkened movie house to escape the tumult of everyday life. WIDESCREEN uses the silver screen as a jumping off point, borrowing songs written specifically for motion pictures ("What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?," "Theme from Valley of the Dolls," "Moon River") & marrying them to music from theatre ("If the World Were Like the Movies") & contemporary pop ("Widescreen," "Erroll Flynn") to explore the world of the movies & the fantasies, illusions & lies that fill our lives.ERIC Michael GillETT has appeared on Broadway in Kiss Me Kate, Sweet Smell of Success & The Frogs. New York audiences have seen him in the role of "Papa Denny" in Dream A Little Dream at the Village Theatre, as "Richard" in the York Theater's workshop of the The Tutor & in the New York City Opera productions of Cinderella, Pirates of Penzance & Candide. Other off-Broadway credits include Frankenstein at 37 Arts, Good Companions at the York Theater, Of Thee I Sing with Encores! & Time & Again at Manhattan Theater Club. His film and television appearances include "Law & Order," "Ed," The Producers, Maid in Manhattan & the upcoming indie feature, The Third Testament, which will be released in March. He is also the 2009 recipient of the Dick Gallagher Award from the Mabel Mercer Foundation.
