Evolve Lounge NYC Hosts LET'S STRITCH IT OUT: A PANTSLESS CABARET

Melanie McSweeney and Elise Williams will return to the stage at Evolve Lounge NYC this month to pay homage to the great Broadway legend Elaine Stritch. Join this dynamic duo on June 17th at 6pm in Let's Stritch It Out: A Pantsless Cabaret. The duo will be belting in their chest voices and slinging back Elaines signature drinks while telling stories of their young careers in the brash and daring style of Stritch. Come have a drink, don't wear your pants and then stay and celebrate by singing your favorite tune at Bring It, Sing It, the weekly installment hosted by Patrick Connolly.

Melanie and Elise recently made their NYC cabaret debut at Evolve last month in Merlot Confessions, self-directed and produced, and cannot wait to share the stage again. Playing to a crowded bar, Melanie and Elise delighted the audience with renditions of Broadway tunes and pop songs, sprinkling in personal stories and self-deprecating jokes, a specialty for both. Recently, they have been seen sharing the stage at Don't Tell Mama and Uncle Charlie's, entertaining crowds with their stunning duet of Happy Days/Happy Days are Here Again, a staple for the duo. These ladies love honoring the Broadway greats and mostly wish to go back to the golden age of theatre.

Acting as music director, and all-star accompanist will be Patrick Conolly. Since 2015, Patrick has answered only to the name "Paddy on the Piano", which also happens to be a convenient way to find him on social media. A high energy pianist, vocalist, and entertainer, his trademark exuberance and colorful wardrobe are only outshone by his considerable ability at the keyboard. Paddy currently performs in wedding bands and piano bars around New York City including Uncle Charlie's, The Duplex, Don't Tell Mama, and Evolve. Follow @paddyonthepiano on Instagram and "It's Paddy on the Piano" on Facebook and try to keep up!

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10, with all proceeds going to Evolve Lounge, to help promote the weekly Bring It Sing It event, which gives young performers an opportunity to run audition cuts, sing their emotions and be surrounded by a loving, supporting audience of like performers and Broadway enthusiasts. Please visit the event Let's Stritch it Out: A Pantsless Cabaret for all details.
