Eric Davis Returns to St. Petersburg's freeFall with I LAUGHED, I CRIED, I BOUGHT THE T-SHIRT, 11/7-11

freeFall Theatre Artistic Director, Eric Davis brings back an intimate evening of eclectic song and theatre for two performances only on November 7 and November 11, 2012 at 7PM in his cabaret, "I Laughed, I Cried, I Bought the T-Shirt."

Local audiences have seen Eric in performances from classical theatre to musicals all around the Tampa Bay area for the last decade in shows ranging from Forever Plaid at the Straz Center to Doubt at American Stage.

This 90-minute performance will guide audience members on a funny and moving musical journey, leading to that unexpected place that freeFall has become known for. With music from well-known musicals as well as the lesser-heard canon, and dashes of story, spoken theatre, and circus, audience members will have a glimpse into a different side of the source of freeFall's inspiration. The amazing Michael Raabe will join Eric at the piano. This return engagement features all-new material not seen in the previous versions.

Eric Davis is the founding Artistic Director of freeFall Theatre which began in 2008 with the highly acclaimed production of The Wild Party and now performs a full season of plays and musicals in its permanent home on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. "It's a treat to have Eric be a part of freeFall's extraordinarily popular Tandem Series. This cabaret offers a rare opportunity to see Eric onstage, as opposed to his incredible backstage work as a director of freeFall hits like Cabaret and Romeo + Juliet (running now through November 18)," said Matthew McGee, Community Outreach Director.
