A journey through the lives of the men (ugh, yes, all men) who have held our highest office and featuring the music of Sondheim, Radiohead, Kander and Ebb, classic Americana, and more, join Ellie and her band as they chronicle the weird and human sides of our commanders in chiefs.

Happy Birthday, Mr. President! is directed by Alice Cash, with Musical Direction by Michael Repper.

Ellie MacPherson is a recent graduate of the New School for Drama's MFA Acting program., where her credits includeL Cabaret (Sally Bowles), graveyard shift (Elise) Vinegar Tom (Margery), 8000m (Ice Climber),Julius Caesar (Calpurnia), Happy End (Cop/Sister Jane). New York City credits include Moby Dick Rehearsed (Access Theatre), Deployed (Abingdon Theatre), Clouds are Pillows for the Moon (B-Side Productions). Favorite Regional Roles include Sweet Charity(Charity), Assassins (Sarah Jane Moore), Little Women (Beth), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit). Ellie has a BA in English/History from Rutgers.


The Green Room 42 is Broadway's newest urban entertainment cabaret club, that since its opening on Valentine's day has featured Broadway names like Alice Ripley, Telly Leung, Josh Groban, Eva Noblezada, Lillias White, James Snyder, The Skivvies (Lauren Molina & Nick Cearley), Matt Doyle, Constantine Maroulis, and many more. Located on the fourth floor of YOTEL NYC, The Green Room 42 boasts a funky new vibe, and no food or beverage minimum-- opening up the cabaret industry to an affordable, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for theatre people and theatre fans alike.
