Don't Tell Mama Continues Comedy Series Into 2019

World-famous theater district entertainment destination Don't Tell Mama continues to blur the lines between classic cabaret and stand-up comedy every Friday night at 9:30PM

Featuring Cabaret and Comedy acts alike, audiences are treated to an almost vaudevillian experience. Comics coyly banter with piano players over lounge-style accompaniment, or belt out their favorite show tune, some even do parodies of pop and broadway songs, it all depends on the night.

"We have an amazing opportunity here to show comedy audiences more than simply a comedy lineup", explains Alex Simmons, the shows talent booker and producer, "There are some amazing cabaret acts in this city that compliment stand-up very well and it would be criminal not to feature them."

Alex is making good on his promise to present a unique experience, this coming Friday will feature Don't Tell Mama regulars The Rigano Songbook, a team of brothers who write original songs you definitely can't listen to with your kids, unless they don't speak english that is. The Rigano's will also take the stage and host the show in a few weeks.

Don't Tell Mama Comedy began their recurring comedy hour on Black Friday in 2018, opening to a sold-out premier. Since their opening Don't Tell Mama Comedy has featured a wide range of comics, from industry vets to promising up-and-comers, with a range of credits.

Comics who perform at Don't Tell Mama Comedy have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Netflix, and other media, they also have countless festivals and tours under their belt.

Since 1982, Don't Tell Mama has presented artists of all kinds who have gone on to the world stage and won multiple Emmys, Tonys, Grammys, Oscars, and even a Pulitzer Prize!
