Chris Newcomer Returns To Feinstein's/54 Below With New Solo Show

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Chris Newcomer: BIG SONGS, BIG LAUGHS, BIG HEART on June 26th, 2019. Male soprano and self-proclaimed "Kander Kid" Chris Newcomer returns to the Feinstein's/54 Below stage with a brand new show for one night only. Expect the unexpected as Chris belts some of his favorite barn-burners, classic standards, and maybe even a song made up on the spot! Join Chris for a night of big singing, big laughing, and big heart...ing!

BIG SONGS, BIG LAUGHS, BIG HEART is the culmination of almost a decade of collaboration between Chris and Music Director Donald Harrison. Previous shows include Mary Sometimes (at Feinstein's 54 Below), Piano Bar Pest (Laurie Beechman Theatre), and Homecoming Queen (In their native Philadelphia) to name a few. Donald Harrison is a Philadelphia-based pianist, writer and teacher. He studied jazz piano under acclaimed jazz pianist Jimmy Amadie and has been performing weekly at Philadelphia's oldest gay piano bar, Tavern on Camac, since 2011. In addition to his work with Chris, he has accompanied many talented Philadelphia-based performers in venues around the city and in 2015 was musical director and co-producer of a monthly cabaret series at L'Etage nightclub.

Chris Newcomer: BIG SONGS, BIG LAUGHS, BIG HEART plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) June 26th, 2019. There is a $25-$60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Most recently on Broadway Chris starred as Mary Sunshine in CHICAGO the Musical. Chris also originated the role of Jacob Chicken in the original Broadway cast of TONY nominated Musical THE VISIT alongside Chita Rivera and the late Roger Rees. Chris has toured the country and the world with CHICAGO the Musical (Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Dubai, The Philippines etc.). In concert Chris appeared alongside Alan Cumming, Javier Muñoz, and Andy Karl in Chita Rivera's headlining debut at Carnegie Hall: NOWADAYS. Regionally Chris has performed at Sacramento Music Circus as well as The Williamstown Theatre Festival. In opera Chris has played everything from Xerxes to Oberon and appeared with Wolf Trap Opera Company, LOTNY and The Bard Summerscape Festival to name a few. At Wolf Trap Chris played Castrato in John Musto's Volpone in performance as well as on the 2009 GRAMMY nominated recording.
