25 year old Blake Zolfo, just nominaTed May 1st for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards for Outstanding Male Dancer in John Kander ('Chicago' and 'Cabaret') and Greg Pierce's ('The Landing') "Kid Victory," joins 63 year old Steve Schalchlin (award-winning composer/lyricist/performer of "The Last Session" and "The Big Voice: God or Merman?") compare what it means to be "25 looking backward" and "63 looking forward" in 25: A premature Retrospective returning to the Metropolitan Room on Thursday, May 25th at 7:00pm.

Zolfo will reprise "What's The Point?," his nominated standout tap dance number, and multi-award winner Schalchlin, accompanying him on the piano and vocals, contributes new songs to an evening of standards and contemporary numbers by Sarah Bareilles, Rodgers & Hart, Andy Grammer, Goffin/King, Lennon/McCartney, JD Souther, Arlen/Harburg, and more.

"Mr. Zolfo proved himself to be not only sweetly funny with a strong, beautiful voice, but a guy who holds back a little and sticks with the emotional truth of a moment. This is an evening that must be repeated," wrote Susan Hasho (Theater Pizzazz) in the first review of the new show, 25: A Premature Retrospective, previewed on April 21st by Blake Zolfo and Steve Schalchlin. Directed by Andy Gale.

Tickets available at metropolitanroom.com or by phone 212.206.0440.
