Billy Lewis Jr. & Cat Stephani Come to 54 Below Tonight
Singer/songwriter/actor Billy Lewis Jr. has recently returned from filming the entire sixth and final season of Glee, and is ready to celebrate being back in NYC with his first live performance of 2015.
Billy and his very special guest, Cat Stephani (One Night with Janis), will perform "Wish You Were Here", an evening of unabashed classic rock tunes, June 11 at 54 Below for one night only.
Join Billy and Cat as they unleash the rock classics, that from early on, influenced and helped sculpt them into the unique live performers they are today. Backed by a ferocious rock band led by Musical Director Michael Thomas Murray (Echoes of Etta, 50 Shades), the crowd can expect to hear bold renditions of some of the most influential artists of all time including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Heart, Joe Cocker, Paul McCartney and many more.
"It was an unforgettable experience to be part of Glee, and I will be forever grateful. Returning to NYC has me so energized to get back to performing, and right now, there's no one I'd rather share the stage with than my cousin Cat! For me, nothing compares to the feeling of performing live and I couldn't be more excited to get back to it!" says Lewis.
Previously, Billy has been featured in the National tours of We Will Rock You, Hair, and Spring Awakening. In July of 2014 Billy released his debut EP of original music produced by Jack Daley. He is currently heading back to the studio in NYC, with a killer creative team crafting the next phase of his recording career as an independent original artist.
Cat Stephani is a Brooklyn based songwriter and front lady of the indie folk group 'cat cat cat.' After many years on the theatrical stage, Janis Joplin taught Cat to sing the blues when she originated the role of Janis in One Night With Janis Joplin at Portland Center Stage in 2011.
