Ben Vereen Gives Free Performance at Upper West Side Apple Store 6/13

A Tony Award winner for his renowned performance in Bob Fosse's Pippin, Ben Vereen, will perform from his new CD, 'Steppin' Out Live With Ben Vereen', at the UWS Apple Store (on Broadway between 68th and 67th) on June 13th at 7pm. This marks his second free NYC store appearance in support of his album. Always appreciating the opportunity to interact with his fans, Ben will be signing autographs for those who come out. The album is available for purchase on the iTunes store through Apple.

'Steppin' Out Live With Ben Vereen' is a live recording of Ben's hit one man show Steppin' Out Live, which plays to sold out audiences throughout the country. Containing Broadway hits from Ben's career, a Frank Sinatra Medley and a tribute to his mentor Sammy Davis Jr., the album is truly the summation of a storied and successful theatre career.

Ben has solidified his place among Broadway royalty, with starring roles in such Broadway productions as Wicked, Fosse,Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly's Last Jam, Grind, A Christmas Carol and I'm Not Rappaport. He starred in the new play Fetch Clay, Make Man at the McCarter Theatre, directed by Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys). Best known for his emmy nominated role as Chicken George in Roots, as well as the feature film All That Jazz. Select film and television credits include: a recurring role on How I Met Your Mother, and guest starring appearances on Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, along with the Hallmark feature film Accidental Friendship for which he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.
