The voluble blues mamma Baby Jane Dexter brings back her critically acclaimed show "All About Love" to the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, for two encore performances on Friday April 23 and Friday April 30, both at 7:30pm. "All About Love" opened to critical acclaim at The Metropolitan Room in November where it ran for five weeks.

Tackling the quixotic aspects of love, from woulda, coulda, shoulda and a few mountains in between, Baby Jane Dexter's brand new show dives full force into that which is real - and that which is fantasy. Long an iconic presence on the night club scene, from Reno Sweeney to Carnegie Hall to her comeback at Eighty Eight's and her recent sold-out runs at the Metropolitan Room, Baby Jane leaves no stone unturned as she delves into matters of the heart. Her set derives from the catalogues of a potpourri of great songwriters including Duke Ellington, Carole King, Stephen Sondheim, John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Working again with her are her longtime arranger and musical director, the Back Stage Bistro Award-winning Ross Patterson, and the Emmy-winning Elissa Patterson as consulting director.

Jazz Times wrote in June 2008 that "Dexter's brand of entertainment is arguably the most compellingly, refreshingly honest there is."

Baby Jane's music charge is $25, plus a two-drink minimum. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues). For reservations call 212/206-0440 or to pre-pay online visit www.metropolitanroom.com.
