BLAME CANADA! Concert to Benefit Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief at Feinstein's/54 Below

Canada's top Broadway talent is coming together at Feinstein's/54 Below on Monday, October 30 to raise money for hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program run by the Hispanic Federation.

Today, over a month after Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico, thousands are still without power, access to food, clean drinking water, communications, and other necessary supplies. For more information on UNIDOS, visit hispanicfederation.org/unidos.

In a statement from the producers: "We are deeply saddened by the events in Puerto Rico. The devastation is far reaching and more needs to be done. From one community to another, we want to do our part to support the recovery and relief efforts."

The concert will feature Astrid Van Wieren and Susan Dunstan, who currently star in the new Broadway musical hit Come From Away, as well as Nicolas Dromard (Jersey Boys), Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful, Jesus Christ Superstar), Jeigh Madjus (Here Lies Love), Ryan Silverman (Side Show, The Apple Tree), Jacqui Sirois, EVan Alexander Smith (Dirty Dancing, Amazing Grace), Liam Tobin (Beautiful), and Danielle Wade (Winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Over The Rainbow). Music direction is by Rick Fox (Doctor Zhivago, Jesus Christ Superstar).

The evening will showcase the best in new Canadian musical theatre, highlighting music by members of the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective. Founded by Landon Braverman and Joseph Trefler, the CMTWC is Canada's largest organization devoted to supporting the work of Canada's musical theatre writers.

The concert will include songs by various Canadian writers including, Sankoff & Hein (Come From Away), Neil Bartram (The Story of My Life, The Theory of Relativity), Colleen Dauncey & Akiva Romer-Segal (Prom Queen), and a special performance by composer Corey Payette with music from his celebrated new show Children of God.

BLAME CANADA!: Canada Sings for Puerto Rico plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Monday, October 30 at 9:30PM. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and a $25 food and beverage minimum.
