Ari Axelrod to Appear In TAKING THE WHEEL At The Green Room 42

Ari Axelrod, (Milk and Honey at The York, Last Five Years at The Weathervane Theatre) makes his Green Room 42 debut in Taking the Wheel on Friday, May 11th at 7PM. Featuring music from Cole Porter to Carole King, Leonard Bernstein to John Buccino, Ari Axelrod's Taking the Wheel delivers the "unfailingly engaging and intelligent" (Cabaret Scenes) story of one Jewish man, happily a passenger in life's normal journey, who is thrust into the driver's seat when he encounters unforeseen twists and turns. Ari Axelrod's moving, coming-of-age story is directed by Tony Award winner Faith Prince with music direction by multiple MAC Award winner Alex Rybeck. George Simon serves as general manager.

Alix Korey (Fiddler on the Roof, All Shook Up) says, "As someone who's seen a myriad of Cabaret performances, I have rarely been as transported as I was by Ari Axelrod. Every song was a play I had never seen before, and he connected with his audience in a completely honest and loving manner. An old soul in a beautiful young man."

Ari Axelrod in Taking the Wheel plays on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:00PM at The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Ave, 4th Floor inside YOTEL, New York, NY 10036, 42nd Street & Tenth Avenue.) Full service is available and there is no food or beverage minimum. Tickets can be reserved here.
