Award winner Anika Larsen teams up with her husband and jazz trumpet player Freddie Maxwell for their Feinstein's/54 Below and New York City debut of MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE: The Musical Romance of a Jazz Cat and a Broadway Baby. Best known for her Tony nominated role as Cynthia Weil in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Anika also performed on Broadway in Avenue Q, Xanadu, All Shook Up and Rent. Freddie toured with luminaries such as Frank Sinatra and Alicia Keys. Recounting memorable moments in their careers, this show is the musical story of how their worlds came together. It's a jazzy, sexy spin on Broadway, pop and Latin tunes that were pivotal in their lives, featuring songs from Anika's album Sing You To Sleep.

Anika says, "Over the years I've thought about doing my own show at 54 Below, but it never felt right until I started performing with my incredibly talented and handsome husband. Not only is it wicked romantic to be performing with the man I love, but we raise each other up as musicians and performers, making for a better show than either of us could do on our own.

Freddie is a jazz man, and he doesn't like to rehearse or perform anything the same way twice. He lives for onstage improvisation and musical conversation among the band. I am little Miss Broadway who likes to rehearse everything for weeks until I have it perfectly plotted out. Freddie's forcing me out of my comfort zone, and it's thrilling slash terrifying."

Freddie comments, "Coming together musically, I bring styles like jazz and latin, Anika brings Broadway and pop, and we end up with a show that's unique and personal to us, but I think will appeal to wide variety of people."

Jessie Mueller states, "working with Anika and recording "You Can Close Your Eyes" with her was really special. It was exciting to watch her blossom in her career and her personal life in such a big and beautiful way. We watched each other go through a lot. When she asked me to be a part of the album I was honored. She's the real deal. A wonderful human and an intelligent and diligent artist." Musicians joining Anika and Freddie are; Mark Sganga on guitar, Bill Moring on bass and Larry Eagle on drums.

Tickets are available at https://54below.com or by calling the box office at: 646-476-3351. This performance is produced by Dan Watt and DancinDan Productions. Anika's cd Sing You to Sleep is on Yellow Sound Label and available on amazon.com.

Feinstein's/54 Below is located at 254 W. 54th St., NYC 10019
