Alex Newell, Sasha Allen, Mykal Kilgore and More Join BAPTIZED BY BROADWAY

Following two sold-out performances of their debut show last fall, Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots) and Marisha Wallace (Something Rotten!) are back and bigger than ever. BAPTIZED BY BROADWAY: Live at BB King on Sunday, August 28th at 8pm. Invited by popular demand, Nick and Marisha welcome audiences for an incredible night of exhilarating music, comedy and inspiration.

BAPTIZED BY BROADWAY follows the comedic journey of two preachers' kids from small towns in the south who just want to make it big on Broadway. Nick and Marisha join forces to tell their story of the highs and lows tackled while growing up in a small town and the odds faced to make it to the Great White Way - finally being Baptized by Broadway.

The show will also feature guest performances by "Glee" star Alex Newell, Broadway and The Voice star Sasha Allen (Hair), Aisha Jackson (Waitress), Mykal Kilgore (The Wiz: Live!/ Post Modern Jukebox) and Tiffany Mann (Lyric Theater's DREAMGIRLS).

BAPTIZED BY BROADWAY begins at 8:00PM with doors at 6:00PM. There is a food and beverage minimum of $10 per person. The show is All-Ages. Tickets begin at $20 for General Admission, Gold Circle Reserved Seats are $30 and VIP Reserved Booths on the floor available at the show. Burroughs, an Alabama native, moved to New York a little over a year ago to make his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots as the "Angel/Lola" understudy. He has performed regionally in shows such as Shrek, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, which earned him a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Local Actor in a Musical. Wallace, originally from North Carolina, is currently tapping her way through the Renaissance as a featured ensemble member and understudy for the role of "Bea" in the Tony-nominated comedy Something Rotten!. She has also been seen in the Original Broadway Cast of Disney's Aladdin as "The Fortune" and just recently played "Effie White" in Dallas Theater Center's production of DREAMGIRLS.
