Nationally acclaimed vocalist, Alex Mansoori, will premiere his new solo cabaret, Here's To The Ladies: A Celebration of Women in Song, in The Winter Park Playhouse's popular Spotlight Cabaret Series on October 19 and 20. The evening will feature an assortment of opera and musical theatre selections originally performed by women. Playhouse Music Director, Christopher Leavy, will accompany on piano.

Called "outstanding" by critics and "solid and convincing" by The New York Times, Alex Mansoori brings to The Winter Park Playhouse cabaret stage his acclaimed tenor vocals as he presents his varied repertoire from Handel and Mozart to Bernstein and Sondheim in what will surely be an unforgettable performance.

Alex received his B.M. and M.M. from The Julliard School where he was awarded the William Schuman Prize and was a winner of the Julliard Vocal Honors Recital. He has performed at New York's famed Carnegie Hall and Rainbow Room, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and appeared in Candide in Concert with The New York Philharmonic which was broadcast on PBS and later released on DVD. He has performed with The Seattle Opera, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Urban Arias in Washington D.C., and internationally in Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, and Russia.

Locally, Alex has appeared with The Orlando Philharmonic in the staged concert of Die Zauberflöte and in The Impresario and Les mamelles de Tirésias with Opera Orlando. He is scheduled to perform in Candide with The Orlando Philharmonic this month and as Pang in Turandot with Opera Tampa.
