St. Augustine Bed and Breakfast Launches Travel Writers Co-Op

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., Aug. 9, 2013 - Bayfront Westcott House B&B (BWH) invites freelance travel writers nationwide to participate in this exciting collaborative effort. One travel writer per month will be invited for a 2-night complimentary midweek stay, based on availability, in exchange for an agreed-upon writing assignment birthed from fresh content but established keyword phrases. Writers will be selected based on their portfolio, affiliations, and ability to broadcast to a specific audience as predetermined by BWH.
BWH, located on Avenida Menendez in St. Augustine, FL, was built in 1880 as a private residence for Dr. John Westcott, well-known for his prominent military career, interests in transportation and politics, and research efforts in the cause and cure of yellow fever. He was a land surveyor for the St. Johns Railroad and was a heavy hitter in the development of the Intracoastal Waterway link from St. Johns River to Miami.
The house changed hands a few times over the years and saw its fair share of soirees amongst St. Augustine's elite. In the 1970s, it was converted into a guest house and has been entertaining tourists and travelers ever since! Today, Westcott is a 16-room, full-service B&B. Every room has a private entrance, most with Jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace, and outdoor sitting area.

Book a 2-night stay at regular rates Sunday thru Thursday and upon advance request receive complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival and breakfast in bed on first morning.
