The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival returns October 17 20, 2013. This year's Festival features approximately 100 events taking place at various locations throughout New York City featuring the best chefs and culinary personalities and the finest offerings from the Southern Wine & Spirits of New York portfolio. A selection of highlights includes:
FOOD & WINE Best New Chefs 25th Anniversary Party where Editor in Chief Dana Cowin and Publisher Christina Grdovic host an extraordinary evening with several FOOD & WINE Best New Chefs from over the years, including Daniel Boulud ('88), Tom Colicchio ('91), Mario Carbone ('12), Rich Torrisi ('12), and more.
Gotham West Market Opening Party a chance to see the brand new urban market inside Gotham Organization's LEED certified31-story Gotham West complex before it opens to the public while enjoying samplings from a mix of local food purveyors and chefs.
Soup'er Sandwich presented by Martin's Famous Potato Rolls hosted by Jeff Mauro in which Food Network's Sandwich King hosts this fourth year favorite event paying homage to the ultimate lunchtime combo with more than 15 of New York City's culinary maestro's.
The New York Times presents Geoffrey's Greenmarket where Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, of hit Food Network shows Chopped and Iron Chef America hosts some of the industry's favorite local farmers paired with renowned chefs, like Floyd Cardoz, Dan Kluger, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Jonathan Waxman, and more, to showcase distinct and seasonal ingredients.
Celebrity Cruises presents New Testament Gospel Brunch hosted by Paula Deen join Paula, sons Bobby and Jamie and husband Michael as they share dishes from her upcoming cookbook Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up (Ballantine Books; October 2013), accompanied by Gospel Singers from The Mama Foundation's Gospel for Teens program and comfort-food creations from top chefs.
Delta Air Lines' Global Night Market at The Plaza Food Hall hosted by Todd English featuring Hot Bread Kitchen a late-night soiree featuring some of the most unique dishes from a melting pot of vendors; Hot Bread Kitchen will showcase their multi-ethnic breads baked by participants in their baking training program for immigrant women and treats from food start-ups supported through their business accelerator, HBK Incubates.
Complementing the move of the Festival's central hub to Midtown West, Hudson will serve as Headquarter Hotel and the ideal backdrop for a variety of Festival events, including wine and pairing seminars hosted by FOOD & WINE such as:
