New Philharmonic begins 2012 with a must-see concert staging of Giacomo Puccini's tragic love-story masterwork "Madama Butterfly" at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, Ill. 

Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. This production features costume design by Jeff Award-nominaTed Allison Amidei and lighting design by Jon Gantt, and will be performed in Italian with English supertitles. Guest soprano Michelle Areyzaga, named "Artist of the Year" byPioneer Press in 2006, is featured as Cio-Cio-San.Tickets are $38 adult/$36 senior/$28 youth.
