Jennifer Rowley will sing the role of Roxane in all performances of Alfano's Cyrano de Bergerac at the Met this season, replacing Patricia Racette, who has withdrawn from the run due to an abdominal hernia.

Ms. Rowley made her Met debut as Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème in 2014. Her recent performances with other companies have included the title role in Puccini's Tosca with New Orleans Opera and Dresden's Sächsische Staatsoper; Leonora in Verdi's Il Trovatore with Théâtre de Caen, Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, and Opéra de Lille; and Musetta in La Bohème at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. Later this season, she will sing the title role in Barber'sVanessa with Toledo Opera.

Cyrano de Bergerac opens May 2 with additional performances on May 6 matinee, May 10, and May 13. Marco Armiliato conducts a cast led by Roberto Alagna in the title role, with Atalla Ayan as Christian and Juan Jesús Rodríguez as de Guiche.
