Bruce Sledge will sing the role of Ferrando in this evening's performance of Così fan tutte, replacing Pavol Breslik, who is ill.

Sledge made his Met debut in 2004 as Count Almaviva in Rossini's IL Barbiere di Siviglia. He has sung a variety of roles, with an emphasis on the bel canto repertory, at opera houses in the United States and abroad, including the Rome Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Paris Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Teatro Real in Madrid.

Così fan tutte is conducted by William Christie and also features Miah Persson as Fiordiligi, Isabel Leonard as Dorabella, Danielle De Niese as Despina, Nathan Gunn as Guglielmo, and William Shimell as Don Alfonso.
