On Friday, February 10, 2010 at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South, NYC), a gala evening will be held to benefit the Center for Contemporary Opera (CCO). The evening celebrates the success of CCO's 2010-2011 season and will feature performances by CCO artists, such as Amy Burton and special guest performers from the Frost Opera Theater from The University of Miami (Florida).

The gala festivities will begin with cocktails at 8:00 p.m., followed by select performances of highlights from the 2010-2011 season. Presented by CCO's outstanding artists include scenes from productions of the spring season opener Enemies, a Love Story by Ben Moore and Nahma Sandrow; The Secret Agent by Michael Dellaira and J.D. McClatchy (March 18 and 19); and The Tin Angel by Daniel Asia and Paul Pines (April 21 and 22). As part of CCO's outreach program, excerpts of "Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus" by Libby Larsen, and "The Mary Shelley Opera" by Allan Jaffe and Deborah Atherton, will be presented by the very talented students from the Frost Opera Theater under the direction of Alan Johnson and Dean Southern.

Tickets for the gala and reception are $35. Please visit www.brownpapertickets.com or call 1-800-838-3006. Learn more about the Center for Contemporary Opera at www.centerforcontemporaryopera.org.
