BIO:
Adam Klein is a singer/songwriter, troubadour, and world traveler playing country folk and Americana music out of Athens, Georgia. With four albums under his belt, Klein now performs either solo, duo, or with his band, Adam Klein & The Wild Fires. Formed in summer 2011 with local ace musicians Steve Abercrombie (bass), Chris Cason (electric guitar) and Bronson Tew (drums), the band is recording its debut nine song record together for a fall 2012 release.
Klein’s music has garnered praise from Paste, No Depression, Georgia Music, Sing Out!, Flagpole, Stomp & Stammer, Maverick, and Connect Savannah Magazines, as well as on numerous Americana blogs worldwide (Americana UK, Roots Highway, CtrlAltCountry, etc.). His second and third releases, Wounded Electric Youth and Western Tales & Trails, debuted on the Euro Americana charts at #5 and #4, respectively. Klein has performed throughout the U.S. and toured in the UK, Ireland, and The Netherlands. He was an official performing artist at the 2008 Folk Alliance conference, and has shared the stage with a diverse range of acts including Josh Ritter, Kevn Kinney, Okkervil River, Abigail Washburn & the Sparrow Quartet featuring Bela Fleck, Shawn Mullins, Robert Ellis, Steep Canyon Rangers, Eilen Jewell, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, Fred Eaglesmith, American Aquarium, Larkin Poe, and more.
He has performed in such legendary venues as: 40 Watt Club (Athens, GA); Georgia Theatre (Athens, GA); Melting Point (Athens, GA); Eddie’s Attic (Decatur, GA); The Living Room (NYC); Rockwood Music Hall (NYC); Iota (Arlington, VA); Club Passim (Cambridge, MA); Caffe Lena (Saratoga Springs, NY); 12th & Porter (Nashville, TN); The White Mule (Columbia, SC); Pappy & Harriet’s (Pioneertown, CA); etc.
Klein is the founder of upstart independent label Cowboy Angel Music and co-organizer of the annual Athens Americana music festival in Athens, Georgia.
