Before doomsday hits and the rapture of darkness takes the world over, STEVE AOKI beckons with a fantastic farewell party with IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT. Set for release December 11 on his own imprint Dim Mak, the producer ushers out the old and rings in the new with a three-song EP of tracks he produced with Angger Dimas featuring My Name Is Kay, Dan Sena & Miss Palmer and Rune RK.

Meanwhile, on Thanksgiving eve (Wednesday, November 21), STEVE AOKI performed a sold-out hometown show at downtown Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium where he was joined by special guests including Wynter Gordon, My Name Is Kay and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike plus support acts Dan Sena, Skeet Skeet, Autoerotique and Dirtyphonics. In the spirit of the holiday, he raised money for the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund which went towards ShelterBox USA, an international nonprofit organization committed to providing humanitarian relief in the form of equipment and materials that bring shelter, warmth and dignity to people made homeless by natural and other disasters such as earthquake, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict.

Label owner, DJ, producer and fashion executive, STEVE AOKI has always made it a point to take a proactive stance when it comes to social and humanitarian issues. Each year a new crisis arises, and there is always a need for humanitarian relief around the world. Through the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, he uses his global influence to raise money for relief organizations dealing with these issues through money raised at his own touring events, memorabilia auctions and partnerships with likeminded artists. STEVE AOKI broke bands such as Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, Klaxons and The Gossip through deftly marketed single and full-length releases on his Dim Mak label, which he began in 1996 and now has over 250 releases. Those releases often dovetailed into performances at his weekly Dim Mak nights including Dim Mak Studios (still going strong every Tuesday night in the heart of Hollywood). As a label owner and shrewd curator of talent from around the world, those club nights have hosted the debut U.S. performances of hundreds of acts over the last decade from Lady Gaga to Ed Banger Records & Justice, Ke$ha, Skrillex, Kid Cudi, Kaiser Chiefs, No Age to Boys Noize. AOKI's become a force of nature who has helped turn underground house, electro and harder-edged EDM with rap and rock leanings into the phenomena it is today: regularly pulling in 150,000+ fans at events such as Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival, the debut of the IDentity national electronic touring festival and his Deadmeat co-headlining tour with Datsik. AOKI's punk roots go back to the art of the house party, when he was just a student at UCSB and was already booking bands such as The Rapture, !!!, Jimmy Eat World, Hot Water Music and At the Drive-In at his Pickle Patch bash and forging relationships with big names that would end up serving him well in the future (he met Weezer's Rivers Cuomo at a secret show in college). In 2012, AOKI was in the next level of his incredible music career with WONDERLAND as his first proper full-length release, followed by WONDERLAND REMIXED and his DEADMEAT: LIVE AT ROSELAND BALLROOM DVD, all which bring a lifetime's worth of passion for bands, DJs and artists of all stripes he has met and/or worked with over the past two decades to the forefront.
