Platinum-selling RCA recording artist Sara Evans' first single in a year "Slow Me Down" is now available at all digital retailers. The single, which has already been garnering an enthusiastic response, was produced by Evans and Mark Bright (Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood). "Slow Me Down" is the first single from her forthcoming album set for release early next year. Fans can purchase the single, which is officially going to radio on September 23rd, at http://smarturl.it/slowmedown.

"I knew, as I've known with other songs that I've written and recorded that "Slow Me Down" was me," said Evans. "I love songs that evoke emotion - it really is what connects people to the music. When we went into the studio to record ("Slow Me Down") my main goal was to capture the desperation and passion in the song - to strike a balance between a strong vocal and the emotion that would pull in the listener."

The infectious mid-tempo "Slow Me Down", which was recorded in Nashville, was written by Marv Green, Jimmy Robbins, and Heather Morgan. November will see Evans, who was the first-ever country artist to host a Reddit chat with fans yesterday, return to the studio to finish up her seventh album, the follow-up to 2011's Stronger. Evans is currently out on the road and will make her first trip down under next month for several shows in Australia before returning to the states for shows in cities including Pensacola, FL, Verona, NY, and St. Louis, MO.

Sara Evans has enjoyed a prolific recording career with nearly 6 million records sold and 5 #1 Country singles, including "Suds In The Bucket, "A Real Fine Place To Start," and "A Little Bit Stronger," which spent 2 weeks at #1 and was certified Platinum by the R.I.A.A.. Evans has garnered numerous accolades over the course of her stellar career, including the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist honor and the Country Music Association's Video of the Year for her hit chart-topping single, "Born to Fly" from her double-platinum album of the same name. Named to People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People," Sara's career also includes the Platinum-selling studio albums Real Fine Place and Restless, the Gold-certified No Place That Far and the double-Platinum selling Born To Fly.
