Rolling Stones to Launch North American Tour in May

Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones are set to roll out an 18-city North American Tour come May, according to Rolling Stone.

Though nothing has been officially announced, a source tells the publication that "May 2nd is the launch day."

Another source confirmed the big news, adding: "I've heard West Coast cities - L.A. And Seattle. But I think they're going to do some back East as well."

The 'unannounced' tour would be the band's first multiple-stop outing since the 'A Bigger Bang' tour, which ran from 2005-2007.

The band, featuring Jagger, Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood, celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2012 with recently completed sold-out "50 & Counting" shows at London's O2 Arena in late November. They performed at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Dec. 8, and rocked the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Dec. 13 and Dec. 15. Their Dec. 15 Prudential Center show, entitled "One More Shot," was broadcast live via pay-per-view through all cable, satellite and teleco providers.

The Stones' latest album, GRRR, an anthology of their greatest hits over the past 50 years, was released in November and includes the new tracks "Doom and Gloom" and "One More Shot."
