The legendary Patti Smith has been nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award for her memoir titled "Just Kids." The winners of the awards will be announced on March 10.

The book tells of her life in New York during the 19702 her relationship with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Smith has already won the National Book Award for the memoir.

Smith co-wrote the play "Cowboy Mouth" with Sam Shepard and has recorded numerous albums over the years including "Horses," "Gung Ho," and "The Coral Sea."
