Nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend is soon to launch his 2014 North American tour, "An Evening with John Legend: The All of Me Tour," and it will include a stop at the Gallo Center for the Arts at 7:30 pm tonight, March 29.

Tickets for the concert will range in price from $69 to $119, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

Legend's performance at the Gallo Center will be performed in an acoustic setting, with guitar and vocal accompaniment and a string quartet.

The tour comes in support of Legend's critically acclaimed fourth studio album "Love In the Future," which continues to gain momentum on the Billboard 200 Chart and currently sits in the top 10 on the R&B Album Chart. Produced by Legend and longtime collaborators Kanye West and Dave Tozer, the album's hit single "All of Me" was recently certified Gold sales status.

A native of Ohio, Legend has sold seven million albums worldwide. In addition to his Grammy Awards, Legend has three Soul Train Awards, the BET Award for Best New Artist and the special Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The University of Pennsylvania graduate was introduced to Lauryn Hill while still in college, who hired him to play piano on her track "Everything Is Everything." After college, Legend was introduced to then up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West, who quickly signed Legend to his G.O.O.D. Music label and hired him to sing vocal hooks on some of his music.

Legend started gaining momentum through a series of similar collaborations with established artists, among them will.i.am, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z, and in December 2004 Legend released his debut album, "Get Lifted." That spawned his first hit single, "Ordinary People." His other hit singles include "Heaven" and "Green Light."
