JoJo Surprises Fans With Re-Worked Albums And Singles

JoJo fans rejoice! Yesterday may have been the star's birthday but she surprised fans by announcing a re-release/remastering of her first two albums and singles. The drop actually comes at no surprise as she posted a mysterious video on her social media accounts earlier this week teasing some sort of music release. Due to contractual obligations with former record label Blackground Records, her first two albums The High Road and JoJo were taken down from music platforms but she finally got the rights back after a tricky legal battle.

The singer/songwriter is doing something no artist has ever done before. Instead of re-releasing the original recordings, Jo decided to rework and record all the tracks from scratch. Fan favorites "Demonstrate" and "Disaster" were also redone. Talk about being a total girl boss! Today, Dec. 21 the recordings were dropped and it has us feeling nostalgic.

I don't know about all of you, but the re-release of these albums are making me emotional. As a long-time fan of JoJo, it's much appreciated that she went out of her way to fight for the rights to her older releases. She deserves all the love she's receiving so much.

The production and vocals are what every JoJo fan would hope for even more so for "Leave (Get Out) and "Too Little, Too Late". You can clearly hear her growth as a vocalist.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Jo for giving fans the best Christmas gift we could ask for. We appreciate and love you! Excuse me while I have this on repeat for the rest of 2018.

Be on the lookout for even more music from the songstress in 2019. For right now check out the re-worked releases of JoJo, The High Road, "Demonstrate" and "Disaster". Please do not sleep on these releases.
