Despite the pending rain, tickets for this year's Levitate Music and Arts Festival (LMF) sold out a week prior to the festival. 10,000 music and art lovers came together on Saturday, July 9, 2016 to enjoy the mild weather and listen to an explosive line up.

The Levitate Music and Arts Festival featured "The Wheels of Soul Tour" with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos, and North Mississippi Allstars, alongside Rebelution, Lettuce, Stick Figure, Moon Taxi, Twiddle, Nahko and Medicine for the People, The Movement, and Ron Gallo.

The festival has received high critical praise with The Boston Globe selecting it numerous times as a "festival" and "event" pick for the summer, while tastemakers featured it including Vanyaland, Jambase, and Live for Live Music, who raved about the "supremely stacked" and "explosive" lineup.

The event took place at the historic Marshfield Fairgrounds [140 Main Street, Marshfield, MA] on Saturday, July 9, 2016. The 11 bands play on 3 stages and festival attendees enjoyed a few dozen local vendors. The Patriot Ledger noted, "Despite the record turnout, the festival maintained its homegrown feel by focusing on local vendors, musicians and artists. The family-friendly festival featured arts and crafts from the North River Arts Society, and a South Shore Conservatory music tent where kids could get in on the fun." There was a great vibe at the festival as AXS describes, "As one band ended, the next stage came alive with another band. Beach balls were flying through the air, there were several girls hula hooping to the beat of the music, parents and children were dancing, and people were laughing and singing along with the bands."
