West Michigan Cabela's Opens Annual Fall Great Outdoor Days This Weekend

Cabela's Grandville will kick off the company's annual Fall Great Outdoor Days this weekend with Waterfowl Classic, consisting of several events and seminars from industry experts.

Cabela's annual celebration of fall runs from Thursday, Aug. 13 thru Monday, Sept. 7 with two separate sale ads and event weekends. This weekend marks the first event with Waterfowl Classic (details below), while the second event weekend is slated for August 29-30 and will feature Cabela's wild game cooking expert Mark Millis.

Waterfowl Classic Weekend Events (August 15-16):

10am-2pm Meet and greet with Cabela's pro staffer Dan DeFauw (Sunday Only)

11 a.m. Duck Calling Contest (Saturday only)
· Both novice and expert duck callers are invited to showcase their talents for the chance to win free prizes! On-site registration is required by 10:30 a.m.

11 a.m. Waterfowl camo and hunting techniques with TangleFree pro staffer John Hughes

12 p.m. Effective calling techniques with competitive caller Tyler Heaton

1 p.m. All about decoys with Hard Core pro staffer Andrew Utting

2 p.m. Waterfowl University with Rig'em Right pro staffer Andy Reynolds
