Founded in 2007, Los Angeles-based BODYTRAFFIC was named one of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" in 2013 and was praised by the Los Angeles Times for its "most hopeful combination of choreographic and performing excellence." LA Weekly applauded the company for its "confident, hard-hitting" execution in a wide range of styles. This exciting dance ensemble continues to break new ground in the field of dance and its evening performance at Harris Center for the Arts will display their distinctive style.

BODYTRAFFIC uniquely reflects LA's diverse landscape - warm, innovative, and sexy. As an internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company, new audiences and experienced dance enthusiasts are enveloped by the company's sheer joy of dance. The versatile and ever growing repertory, by today's most distinctive choreographic voices, is inspiring, accessible, and challenging. BODYTRAFFIC's family of vibrant dancers drives the company's commitment to art and entertainment.

Straight from an engagement at the Joyce Theatre in New York, the company's program at Harris Center will include the west coast premieres of Dust by Hofesh Shechter, the Israeli-born British based choreographer known for his blunt, earthy style; and of Once again Before You Go by Victor Quijada, the Montreal-based choreographer whose work blends break-dancing and ballet.

BODYTRAFFIC will perform Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $19-39; Premium $45; Students with ID $12. Tickets are available online at www.harriscenter.net or from the Harris Center Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Parking is included in the price of the ticket. Harris Center is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, CA, facing East Bidwell Street.

BODYTRAFFIC is helping establish Los Angeles as a major center for contemporary dance. Current touring repertory includes works by Kyle Abraham, Sidra Bell, Stijn Celis, Alex Ketley, Barak Marshall, Andrea Miller, Zoe Scofield, Hofesh Shechter, Richard Siegal, and Guy Weizman & Roni Haver; with upcoming commissions by Loni Landon, Joshua Peugh and Victor Quiijada.

(Vancouver) and Laguna Dance Festivals. In June 2012, BODYTRAFFIC made their Joyce Theater (NYC) debut during Gotham Dance Festival. In September 2013, the company made their Walt Disney Concert Hall debut, at the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Opening Night Gala performance. BODYTRAFFIC opened the program with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
