Atlantic City Ballet Announces Schedule for Spring Season

Flowers are starting to bloom, the air is a little warmer and that means it's the beginning of the Atlantic City Ballet's spring season. After its annual winter break, the company returns to continue their 2016/17 season with some great performances. In March the ballet will head to The Strand Theater in Lakewood to kick off their spring season with a performance of Visions. The Visions program is comprised of smaller ballets based on music from varying parts of the globe. The evening's performance will include Huapongo from Mexico, Come Join the Dance from Scotland and Drums from Africa. In April the company heads to the South Orange Performing Arts Center for a performance of Carmen. Then it's back to Atlantic City for American Songbook, a program of ballets with music by American composers. Finally in May the company will close out their season with Swan Lake, a time honored classic that hasn't been performed by the company in 12 years. The company will also resume their Up Close and Personal Series, a behind the scenes look at the world of classical ballet. The first Up Close is March 23 and tickets are only $20 and limited to 25 people. Plans are also in the works for the company's spring fundraiser and there are always some surprise Pop Up performances.
