Minnesota Orchestra concerts on April 14 and 15 showcase the Twin Cities' own multi-talented rapper-vocalist-essayist Dessa, a member of the indie hip-hop collective Doomtree.

Check out an inside look at the rehearsals below!

Internationally recognized for her beautiful alto voice and poetic style of communication, Dessa performs a new program of her own music, in collaboration with the Minnesota Orchestra and conducted by Sarah Hicks, principal conductor of Live at Orchestra Hall. With new orchestral arrangements by Andy Thompson, this concert will blur the boundaries between classical music and the hip-hop and rap genres.

The performance is held at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis on Friday, April 14, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 15, at 8 p.m., with tickets priced from $30 to $60. Tickets are available at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656.
