The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Presents KICKSTART YOUR SUMMER, 5/17
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra joins WRCJ 90.9 FM and the Detroit Public Schools Foundation for KICKSTART YOUR SUMMER this Saturday, May 17, from 10 am to 3 pm. The event will take place at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 315 E. Warren Avenue in Detroit. It features continuous live entertainment, a Kids' Fun Room, including an Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Instrument Petting Zoo. Instrument Petting Zoo is all about hands-on fun with instruments. Children have the chance to get up close and personal with the orchestral instruments they see professionally played on stage.

WRCJ-FM, Detroit's "Classical Days, Jazzy Nights" public radio station will broadcast live from the event with on-air personalities Dave Wagner (10 am to 12:30 pm) and Chris Felcyn (12:30 pm to 3 pm). Live entertainment will be provided by musicians from the Detroit Children's Choir, Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra, Motor City Brass Band, Macomb Symphony Orchestra, Urban Stringz, Our Own Thing and others.
