Encore Series, Inc., presenter of Peter Nero and the Philly POPS, announced Holiday POPS! 2012 that will feature vocalist Capathia Jenkins, The POPS Festival Chorus, The Philadelphia Boys Choir, The African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Gospel Choir and organist Peter Conte. The second concert series of the 2012/2013 Season will be held tonight, December 7-22, 2012 in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia and will be led by Artistic Director Peter Nero, now in his 34th Season with The Philly POPS.

“Don’t miss our special holiday tradition as The POPS perform the sounds of the season with hundreds of talented guests,” said Peter Nero. “The Philly POPS’ special mix of joyous choirs, merry sing-a-longs and a visit from Santa Claus yields a holiday celebration for everyone in the family!”

Holiday POPS will be held tonight, December 7 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 8 at 3:00 p.m.; Sunday, December 9 at 3:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 12 at 8:00 p.m.; Friday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m.; Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 19 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 22 at 3:00 p.m.

Now in its 34th year, Peter Nero and the Philly POPS under the artistic direction of Grammy Award winning pianist and conductor Peter Nero and presented by Encore Series, Inc., is a one-of-a kind orchestra that performs a wide variety of musical genres in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and around the Tri-State region, entertaining audiences with its eclectic mix.
