Pacific Symphony recently approached Patina Restaurant Group, which handles concessions for Segerstrom Center for the Arts, to discuss ideas to add a sense of occasion to the orchestra's 40th anniversary season. The celebrated Patina Restaurant Group is a master in the creation of special events across the nation. As caterers to the famed Emmy Awards Governor's Ball, Patina is no stranger to concocting creative craft cocktail menus that have been blockbuster hits. Patina tasked their talented mixologists with designing a carefully curated collection of artisanal libations and creative contemporary signature cocktails inspired by the season's concert offerings as a way of infusing festive cheer into the Symphony's anniversary year. And these unique beverage creations promise to surprise and delight symphony-goers all season long.

Crafty cocktail lovers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of expertly crafted libations that will be offered at all the Patina bars in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for Pacific Symphony's Classics and Pops concerts and selected Special concerts throughout the 2018-19 season for only $14 a glass. In celebration of the 40th anniversary season opening (Sept. 27 - 29), Symphony-goers can enjoy the "Ruby Anniversary Sparkler," a riff on a classic kir royal (champagne and crème de cassis) that is scented with elderflower liqueur and a kiss of Chambord.

Pacific Symphony's 40th anniversary season of specially crafted spirits is one that could capture Ernest Hemingway's own heart. Symphony enthusiasts - as well as Hemingway enthusiasts - can enjoy variations on Papa's two favorite Cuban drinks in the form of the "Viva La Diva Daiquiri," with its citrusy sweet marriage of rum and lime, for the opening of the Pops series featuring Vanessa Williams (October 12 and 13) and also the exotic "Persian Mojito" with a hint of pomegranate liqueur in celebration of the "Nowruz: Persian New Year" program (March 24, 2019).
