Camerata Hosts New York's DEBUSSY CELEBRATION On October 4 Camerata New York, now in its 18h year, kicks off its third full season as resident orchestra of New York's St. Jean Baptiste Church on Thursday, October 4, 2018, with an anniversary celebration of the great Debussy masterpieces, including La Mer, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and the Prodigal Son.

The orchestra will be featuring soloists from the Mannes school of music, as part of their concert series, "Mannes Sounds", as well as dancers from Harlem School of the Arts Dance Ensemble.

"The audience is in for an exceptional treat of the most exquisite pieces in the symphonic repertoire. In addition, Camerata is proud to continue its mission of promoting young talent with soloists from Mannes and dancers from Harlem School in this extraordinary program.", said Richard Owen, Camerata New York's music director.

Then on December 15th at 7:30PM, Camerata NY will be joined by the St. Jean Baptiste Festival Chorus and top international soloists in Handel's eternal masterpiece, The Messiah celebrating the annunciation, passion and resurrection of our Lord.
